Some of you may remember my Schoolgirl Style Challenge from last year.  Basically, if you used Schoolgirl Style products in your classroom, you were encouraged to send your photos in and show off your classroom!

We chose our top five classrooms and asked our followers to vote on their favorite room.

We had so much fun showcasing the different classrooms, however, I felt a ton of guilt having everyone vote and choose their favorite.  Every single teacher that entered our Challenge deserved to have their room showcased and praised for their hard work.  It broke my heart to only choose a handful.  It also broke my heart to only have one winner.

I really wanted the whole experience to be positive for EVERYONE.

After some serious thought, I’ve decided to encourage all of you to send in your photos, but we will not have a competition.  Let’s use this as a way to encourage, cheer on our colleagues, and celebrate the end results!  We need to lift each other up and applaud our hard work without a contest being involved.

I think it’s time to take the competition out of teaching, don’t you?

So, lets get this party started!!!

If you are proud of your room and would love to show it off on the Schoolgirl Style site, send in your photos for the ultimate classroom viewing extravaganza!

I think it is SO fun to just see what other people are doing in their classrooms!  Lets learn from our colleagues, get inspiration, and just take a brain break from curriculum!

This will be FUN!  FUN!  FUN!

A few general guidelines:

1.  Close up pictures usually photograph and display better.

2.  I don’t expect professional photos, but photo quality will determine if I can show your photos.  If they are too blurry, I won’t be able to use them.

3.  Do not send more than 10 photos

4.  Send photos to schoolgirlstyle@gmail.com with your name, state, and grade level

5.  Do not include photos with your students in the pictures.

6.  In the subject line, write “LOVE MY CLASSROOM”

Okay, I think that’s it!  Start sending those photos in TODAY!  Stay tuned…you may see your room on the Schoolgirl Style website!

love your classroom
