I am really excited to share this next room with you! This room belongs to first grade teacher, Holly Gonzales from Tradewind Elementary.
Holly sent in her before photos of her classroom. These were taken last year. Take a look….
Take a look at her AFTER photos…
First, let me say, I love the flooring. In the old pictures, we couldn’t even see the floor. What a great neutral backdrop for the décor. Holly made the right decision to not ignore the flooring or her black chairs and chose a theme that complimented the existing furniture. Do you notice the rug? I love how she changed it to a solid black as opposed to the busy, colorful one from before.
Holly chose black fabric for her bulletin boards and doubled her borders with the Creative Teaching Press daisy border and Nile Green Bordette.
I adore Holly’s ladybug chair…
Holly did a great job making large ladybugs to display above her bulletin boards. To me, this is unusable space, so pulling in her theme with something decorative was a perfect idea!
The hanging paper daisies were purchased from the Schoolgirl Style Shop!
I love how Holly added a ladybug to her desk!
Schoolgirl Style table signs…
Holly used my tags to make cute birthday prizes!
Holly used my Simple & Stylish polka dot collections in black, yellow, red, and green to create this beautiful focal point above her cabinets.
Holly made this cute topiary with coordinating ribbon!
Creative Teaching Press letters look perfect in this pretty ladybug room! I love the white contrast on the black fabric.
Holly didn’t forget her storage containers and added polka dot embellishments…
The daisies are a nice touch too!
You can agree that the transformation of Holly’s classroom was pretty spectacular!
Remember, at the end of the of the contest, you will be able to vote for your favorite classroom to become the winner of the Schoolgirl Style Challenge!
Meet me here next Tuesday night for our 4th finalist!
