How do you clean your classroom rug?
Maintenance is a very important part of making your new rug last for many years to come.
Day-to-day care: Vacuum daily and clean spills promptly. We also reccomend having it professionally cleaned every 12 months.
GENERAL TIPS:
- Do not walk on the rug/carpet if it’s wet.
- Keep away from electric floor polishers.
- Do not vacuum directly over serged edge.
SPILLS and STAINS:
- Immediatly blot as much as possible. Do not rub the stain.
- Use warm (not hot) water to blot the stain with a white rug.
- Rinse with warm water and remove excess water.
- When the rug is dry, vacuum to restore shape.
SOLUTIONS FOR STAINS:
Detergent: Choose one that is labeled “Safe for Cleaning Carpets” to clean spills such as Ice Cream, Milk, Mustard and Tea.
Blood or Chocolate: use detergent or Ammonia diluted with water.
Coffee, Mustard, Urine, and Vomit.: detergent and white vinegar diluted with water.
Food Coloring, Glue, Grape Juice, Ink (washable), Orange Drink, Paper dye, Soda and Watercolors: Use detergent or Ammonia.

- Our carpets are CRI Green Label Plus certified and meet or exceed California indoor air quality standards for low emitting products used in schools.
- Additionally, all rugs are treated with a stain-resistant protectant, Stainless, to help reduce the appearance of accidental spills or soils.
- Contain anti-microbial agent to guard against odor, mildew and mold.
- Bound and double stitched serge with nylon edge yarn for maximum strength and durability.
