I’m so excited to unveil my beautiful new blog!

A BIG thank you to Lauren from Restored 316 Designs for creating my vision!  Lauren was so sweet and patient throughout the entire process.  I’m probably not the easiest person to design for…I tend to be very detail oriented (that’s a nice way of saying that I’m really picky).  She worked really hard and made sure that the design was perfect.  If you are in the market for a new blog design, please check out Lauren.  She is crazy talented and is one of the nicest people that I know!

I really wanted to create a sophisticated, clean design.  I loved my old blog, but the colorful background competed with my classroom photos that I post on a regular basis.  I wanted my photos to POP and I knew I could achieve this with a simple black and white design.  I also wanted my blog to reflect my personal style.   Schoolgirl Style is about clean, classic, and sophisticated classroom design.  I wanted my new site to exude how I feel about decorating and how simple style can create a huge impact.

If you look closely, we also made the photos larger.  I knew that most of you studied my photos for ideas, so making them bigger would help show all of the details of each classroom.

Another big change was adding a landing page to my blog.  I was so surprised to find out that so many people didn’t even know I had classroom photos OR they just had trouble finding them.  Lauren and I worked hard to create a way to easily navigate through the entire site.

SO much time was put into this new blog to ensure that you never miss a thing when you stop by Schoolgirl Style.  I also wanted to create a blog where you can easily find whatever you are looking for.  This project became a labor of love and something I’m very very proud of.  I can’t tell you how excited I am to finally show you what I’ve been working on for months.   So, please, take a moment and check out the new look and let me know what you think!
