Since I have started my blog, I have shared some of my personal life with all of you. I normally like to keep my posts carefree and upbeat, but tonight, I need your prayers.
Meet my friend, Amy…
Amy is a 5th grade teacher in Hartland, Michigan. Amy and I went through our Education Specialist program together. From the beginning of the program, we instantly became good friends. Amy is brilliant, musically gifted, and beautiful on the inside and out. She is also a wife and a mother.
Amy was diagnosed with cancer several years ago and has been in remission ever since. Just recently, her cancer came back. With the kind of cancer that she had, this is extremely rare.
Everything happened so quickly. Once she found out the cancer came back, the doctors quickly began chemo and radiation. Amy was determined to keep working. Her day would consist of teaching, then her evenings would be spent with her radiation. Mondays were her scheduled chemo days. Well, the treatments were harder than anticipated and she had to take a leave of absence from teaching.
She has spent the last few months going through the biggest challenge of her life and it hasn’t been easy. Amy finds out tomorrow if she is in remission. If you are the praying type, I am asking if all of you could say a prayer for my friend. We need good news tomorrow.
Here is a beautiful video that her school family made to lift Amy’s spirits. You don’t need to know Amy to be extremely moved by their overwhelming support of their friend and colleague.
Thank you SO much for your prayers!
I Love you, Amy! Be strong!
